ABOUT ELIZAH

A Journey Years in the Making…

A product of both New Hampshire and Arizona, Elizah Knight has both New England boldness and Arizona sunshine! She began her artistic journey from a young age training pre-professionally as a dancer. Across the wide range of dance styles that she continues to practice in, she’s got a soft spot for both a great group tap number and the expressivity of contemporary movements. Knight finds grounding in the memory that she began making music as a means of familial connection. She sang folk and country songs as a child, with her dad on the guitar, belting out the story driven soulful lyrics of Bonnie Raitt and Joni Mitchell. Through high school and college Knight’s vocal training included Classical work with opera professionals in addition to musical theater technique — so singing in the stratosphere is one of her specialties!

Her work in high school earned her a spot at the Jimmy Awards where her mind and heart were opened to the breadth of the Broadway industry, and she solidified her burning desire to contribute to that industry in any way she could! Elizah graduated from Ithaca College with a BFA in Musical Theater in 2023 where she honed her skills as an actor, and gained onstage experience in roles such as Viola in Twelfth Night The Musical, Rapunzel in Into the Woods and Doña Ana in House of Desires. As well as established works, Knight led several workshops and productions of new works both on film and theatrically in her college years. Knight adores the collaborative process of creating something new and maintains storytelling as the backbone for any performative medium she embodies.

Nowadays…

Since her move to New York City, Knight has worked in the industry through readings, tours, recording sessions, and TV appearances!

Notably in 2024, she joined the award winning Off- Broadway show Cross that River for its US Tour playing the role of Courtney.

As a parallel means of continued creativity Knight loves to write! She completed her first Novella, Object Permanence while at Ithaca where she (somehow) found time to minor in writing in addition to her BFA.

When not performing, Knight can be found working in the fitness industry, petting her tortoiseshell kitty Maybel, browsing the shelves of the Astoria Bookshop or enjoying music at a Jazz club! Knight is also a practicing Buddhist meditator, an Aquarius and member of the queer community.
